About
Stop Slavery was founded to help bring an end to slavery in our lifetime. We were challenged by the Freedom Summit and others in our community who were taking steps to help bring justice to the world. Francis Chan, speaking at the summit, was used by the Lord to help us step out in faith and see what God might want to do through us.
Of the estimated 27 million slaves in the world 24 million of them are in Asia. We feel that we are in a unique position with one “foot” in America and one “foot” in Asia to be used of the Lord to help bring an end to slavery in this part of the world.
Stop Slavery is the project of two American Military Youth ministries in Okinawa, Japan; Impact and Common Ground. We know it is going to take a whole lot more people to reach our goal of $27 Million a Year to help push back darkness and bring justice and healing to those who are in need. If you’d like to be a part of the team please let us know.
You can follow on our blog to find out the latest news on Slavery and Human Trafficking around the world at www.stopslavery.org.
